The following is a profile of Pastor Mike and his wife Kay.

I am a full time ordained minister of the Assemblies of God leading the Church in Penkhull as its Senior Minister. I am a governor at St. Peter’s High School, Penkhull, Stoke on Trent, this is a Church of England aided school.

Before entering the ministry full time, I was trained as a metallurgist at a local College and University. I subsequently trained in Quality Assurance becoming the Quality Manager of a Valve and Pump Manufacturing Company. I currently work 1 day per week as a Management Consultant to a group of local companies.

I am married to Kay and have three children and eight grandchildren. Kay is a Teacher and currently works on supply for one local infants school. Recently I achieved a Certificate in Counselling from the Institute of Counselling in Glasgow. In the near future I am planning to starting a course leading to a Diploma in Christian Counselling.

I am currently the Senior Pastor of Penkhull Christian Fellowship, which is an Assemblies of God Church. I am accountable to the Leadership Team of the local church as well as having a non-local accountability to the General Conference of the Assemblies of God.

I have the responsibility for the vision and direction of the local church, along with the other general pastoral duties, which include evangelism, counselling, hospital visitation and general care and teaching of the members of the church.

We regularly minister to over 100 people most Sundays.

Our Church Vision is to be a Light on the Hill of Penkhull and shine to bring hope and salvation to all who will respond to the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.

I was grounded in my Christian Education by studying with a local Christian teacher and Pastor Roy Ecclestone.

I then became the Assistant Pastor at Penkhull Christian Fellowship and carried out training with Pastor Robert Mountford MA.

I then trained for 2 years with the Assemblies of God to obtain Ministerial Status.

Throughout my 20 years as a Minister I studied with various ministries and latterly with Central Christian University in Arkansas, USA, I eventually obtained a Ministerial Doctorate (DMin) with CCU.

I am involved in Christian Ministry (Both teaching and Assemblies) in local  schools. I have been on Many Missions Trips to Mexico, Bulgaria and Malaysia, I have preached in England, Wales, Scotland, Mexico, America, Malaysia, and Taught at the Central Christian University in Sofia, Bulgaria as well as teaching and preaching to the Bulgarian Gypsies.

I have shared on Local Radio and on European Christian Radio on numerous occasions and am currently a regular contributor at the Local Christian Radio Station (FM and Satellite across Europe) Cross Rhythms.
