I am a full
time ordained minister of the Assemblies of God leading the
Church in Penkhull as its Senior Minister. I am a governor at St. Peter’s High School,
Penkhull, Stoke on Trent, this is a Church of England aided
school.
Before entering
the ministry full time, I was trained as a metallurgist at a
local College and University. I subsequently trained in Quality
Assurance becoming the Quality Manager of a Valve and Pump
Manufacturing Company. I currently work 1 day per week as a
Management Consultant to a group of local companies.
I am married to
Kay and have three children and eight grandchildren. Kay is a
Teacher and currently works on supply for one local infants
school. Recently I achieved a Certificate in Counselling from
the
Institute of Counselling
in Glasgow. In the near future I am planning to starting a course leading to a
Diploma in Christian Counselling.
I am currently the Senior
Pastor of Penkhull Christian Fellowship, which is an Assemblies
of God Church. I am accountable to the Leadership Team of the
local church as well as having a non-local accountability to the
General Conference of the Assemblies of God.
I have the
responsibility
for the vision and direction of the local church, along with the
other general pastoral duties, which include evangelism,
counselling, hospital visitation and general care and teaching
of the members of the church.
We regularly
minister to over 100 people most Sundays.
Our Church Vision
is to be a Light on the Hill of Penkhull and shine to bring hope
and salvation to all who will respond to the Gospel of The Lord
Jesus Christ.
I was grounded in
my Christian Education by studying with a local Christian
teacher and Pastor Roy Ecclestone.
I then became the
Assistant Pastor at Penkhull Christian Fellowship and carried
out training with Pastor Robert Mountford MA.
I then trained for
2 years with the
Assemblies of God to obtain Ministerial Status.
Throughout my 20
years as a Minister I studied with various ministries and
latterly
with
Central Christian University in Arkansas, USA,
I eventually obtained a Ministerial Doctorate (DMin) with
CCU.
I am involved in
Christian Ministry (Both teaching and Assemblies) in local schools. I have been on Many Missions Trips to
Mexico, Bulgaria and Malaysia, I have preached in England, Wales,
Scotland, Mexico, America, Malaysia, and Taught at the Central
Christian University in Sofia, Bulgaria as well as teaching and
preaching to the Bulgarian Gypsies.
I have shared on
Local Radio and on European Christian Radio on numerous
occasions and am currently a regular contributor at the Local
Christian Radio Station (FM and Satellite across Europe)
